Membership
People are accepted as members by confession and transfer. If previously baptized into another church of any Christian denomination, you may reaffirm your faith in Jesus Christ by transfer of membership. Re-baptism is not required. If not a previously baptized church member, you may become a member of this congregation by a simple confession of faith in Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, followed by a scheduled baptism.
Those who "winter" with us, or who are otherwise here for only a part of the year, are welcome to attend and take as active a part as they choose in church functions, having "dual" or "associate" membership both here and in their home church.
For First-Time Visitors who may be living in another area of the country, the Sun City Christian Church is a unique "mid-sized" congregation nestled in the center of a major retirement community. Demographic studies indicate that some 81% of Sun City and Sun City West residents are 65 and older. The percentages of 65 and older drop precipitously in Peoria (12%), Surprise (12%), and Youngtown (39%).
